Josh was originally inspired by learning about the circumstances surrounding the bankruptcies of some of his own friends and family members. He heard about how their lives were genuinely improved in real, tangible ways because they filed bankruptcy. He tries to give clients of Walker and Walker the same experience.

Josh finds purpose and fulfillment in his work. His favorite part of practicing bankruptcy is the personal connection. Financial hardship can take over your life. For many people, that stress is experienced alone. After just one conversation, Josh feels the sense of relief the other person is experiencing, when they realize there is a real solution to problems that not long ago felt insurmountable.
